Some Spurs fans on social media are desperate for Tottenham to snap up Franck Kessie after it was claimed that the North London club had offered the AC Milan midfielder a contract worth £130,000-a-week.
Tottenham reportedly expressed their interest in Kessie during the summer transfer window but the midfielder ended up staying put at the San Siro despite having less than 12 months left to run on his contract.
It has subsequently been suggested that Spurs could try to land the midfielder as a free agent when his contract runs out next summer.
Tottenham could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who have also been credited with an interest in Kessie.
CalcioMercato reported this week that the 25-year-old has not held talks with the Milan hierarchy over a new contract since last month, with the Serie A giants yet to meet the salary demands of the midfielder.
The report also added that Tottenham have already put a deal worth €8m-per-year (£6.8m) on the table for the Ivory Coast international amidst his contract standoff with Milan.
Some Spurs fans on social media are convinced that the Kessie is exactly the kind of player that the club needs and are hoping that the Lilywhites manage to somehow pull off a deal for the Milan star.

Spurs fans should not be getting their hopes up regarding Kessie. The midfielder will likely have plenty of suitors from around Europe if he does become available on a free transfer next summer. So, we will stand little chance of snapping him up unless we get back into the Champions League.
