Tottenham Hotspur had an extremely disappointing week leading up to match against Watford on Wednesday night.
Spurs were first knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing a penalty shoot-out Chelsea and then a much-changed Spurs side lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The defeats had experts questioning Spurs’ mentality to cross the final hurdle and win silverware. The game against Watford looked like it would turn out to be yet another frustrating night for the Lillywhites, as Watford took the lead from a set piece and defended resolutely until the last ten minutes of the game.
However, Spurs managed to turn the game around courtesy of a left foot strike by Son Heung-Min and a header from Fernando Llorente.
Christian Eriksen who was back in the starting lineup for the game after being rested against Palace took to social media to say that the win was exactly what the team needed.
