Responding to Tottenham’s post on social media asking fans what they thought of summer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, some Spurs fans have waxed lyrical about the midfielder.
Hojbjerg was Tottenham’s first signing of the transfer window as Spurs saw off competition from the likes of Everton, Monaco and Ajax to snap up the midfielder from Southampton (The Athletic).
There were question marks raised (Sky Sports via Football.London) over the 25-year-old after Tottenham’s opening day defeat to Everton, with the former Bayern Munich man not covering himself in glory in the 1-0 loss.
However, the Denmark international has gone from strength to strength since then as he has shielded the back four expertly while also showing his ability on the ball.
His performance in the 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United last Sunday was arguably his best one in a Tottenham shirt so far and some Spurs fans are convinced that there is more to come from him.
Here’s how they reacted to the club’s question about the midfielder:
Class. Going to be huge for us, vital part of our team already

Was finding his place in his first few games then once he found it and had settled his last 3 games have been the leader and boss we hoped for
Scary thing is he's only going to get better

Jose never gets it wrong with his DM’s. Also fair to say Spurs sold us a Dane who’s going downhill for one who is going uphill at this point anyway. https://t.co/plEMOAKUkL

Excellent – demands more of himself and others in every game which I like, and was exceptional against United. More to come! 👊 https://t.co/z8MeQtHCP8

After the first 2 Games he didn’t look good enough to lace half the squad’s boots but ever since then his quality has stood tall & he’s been amongst our best players in every game, what a shrewd signing he is & now it’s easy to understand his stats over the last 2 Seasons! #COYS https://t.co/oH1Khmfyw6

Spurs Web Opinion
Hojbjerg has not only impressed me with his ability to read the game and always make the right decisions, both on and off the ball, but his personality also seems to be exactly what the team has been crying out for. Watching him constantly encourage the players on the field is fantastic to see. In fact, I do not think we have had a vocal leader like the Dane on the pitch since Michael Dawson left the club in 2014.
