The draw which was held live on BBC 1 at Old Trafford, the home of the current holders was conducted by Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin.

Tottenham have won the FA Cup on eight occasions in the past, however, it has certainly been a long time since the club last got their hands on the trophy, with success coming back in 1991 following a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at Wembley.

Will Tottenham win a trophy this season?

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou said back in September following a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal in an interview: “I’ll correct myself – I don’t usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing’s changed.

“I’ve said it now. I don’t say things unless I believe them.”

Fans of Spurs will be hoping that Postecoglou’s prediction comes true with the club struggling to show consistency with their results following Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Fulham, which halted the momentum of the win at Manchester City.

Tottenham were knocked out of the competition at the fourth round stage last season when a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in N17 ended their hopes of silverware.
