FA reveal how much Tottenham have spent in agent fees this year

The Football Association have provided the full details on how much various clubs have spent on agent fees over the 2023-24 season, with Tottenham paying nearly £20m to representatives.

Spurs have been one of the busiest English clubs over the last couple of transfer windows as Ange Postecoglou has put his own imprint on the squad after taking over from Antonio Conte.

The likes of Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, Manor Solomon and Brennan Johnson arrived through the door last summer while Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin were added to the squad in January.

Tottenham have spent almost £20m on agent fees

The FA have revealed that over the course of the 2023-24 season, Spurs shelled out £19.7m in agent fees across those transactions.

That puts them in seventh place behind Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa, who are paid more to representatives this season than Tottenham did in 2023-24.

Chelsea and Man City were comfortably at the top, spending a whopping £75.1m and £60.6m respectively on agent fees over the last 12 months.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham’s figure is certainly far more manageable than that of some of their rivals, who have paid out astronomical amounts to agents over the last 12 months. As the Premier League continues to enforce their financial rules, I expect the agent fees to drop considerably over the next year or two.
