Fabio Paratici reveals why he is so animated when watching Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici has spoken about his passion and energy while watching on from the sideline.

During Spurs’ perfect start to life in the Premier League, there have been a lot of positives that have happened on the pitch, but off it there has been an entertaining element in the stand.

During home Premier League fixtures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Paratici along with head of recruitment Steve Hitchen have been captured showing plenty passion and energy by jumping out of their seats to drive Spurs onto victory.

The pair have been hard at work during the summer transfer window by trying to commence the squad rebuild under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Five new faces have come through the door at Hotspur Way, all aged 26 or under with Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal all arriving as part of the new-look squad.

Outgoings are also an area where there has been plenty of activity with long-serving members of the squad including Danny Rose, Toby Alderweirld, Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier, and Erik Lamela having all departed (Transfermarkt).

Paratici touched on the passion he shows on the sidelines during an interview with the official Spurs site, He said: “I live my life every day with this energy. I like to feel every day what people are transmitting to me, I want to transmit at the same time to our people my energy, my positivity.

“If the coach, me, Steve, Daniel, are there every day and we show our passion to arrive at the target, I think the players and the people in the dressing room think and understand we are there for one reason, to build something good and to be better than in the past.

“This is our target. My passion is my passion, so I’m happy to do it like this. I want to show this.”

I personally think the passion Paratici shows on the touchline is very refreshing. For too long, there has been a big disconnect between the powers that be and the players on the pitch.

Paratici is slowly trying to repair that – while also bringing in a new crop of talent.
