Fabrizio Romano admits Mauricio Pochettino still wants Spurs star at PSG

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring Dele Alli to Paris Saint-Germain after speaking to Chris Cowlin’s YouTube channel (17:50).

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was heavily linked with a move to the French capital during the January transfer window and was denied a move on deadline day by chairman Daniel Levy (talkSPORT).

PSG were said to have tabled three loan offers for the 25-year-old with Jose Mourinho having been willing to have seen him leave the club.

Dele found himself struggling for regular first-team football last season while the Portuguese was in charge, with the player having been reportedly interested in reuniting with his former manager in the French capital.

Romano insisted that despite there still being interest in the player, Tottenham are still waiting for their new head coach to be appointed and will wait to understand what style of football he will play and what it means for Dele.

It would be a huge mistake for Tottenham to allow Dele to leave the club this summer, considering we are desperately lacking creativity in the final third following the sale of Christian Eriksen.
