Fabrizio Romano backs Spurs to have a busy final few days of the transfer window

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are working on several incomings and outgoings in the final few days of the transfer window.

With less than a week left until the window slams shut, Spurs are yet to make a single new signing this month.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed yesterday that Tottenham hope to get a few deals over the line before Monday’s deadline.

This has now been backed up by Romano in the latest episode of the Here We Go Podcast (starting at 08:21).

The journalist said that Fabio Paratici is working directly on a deal to bring Porto winger Luis Diaz to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium admitted that singing the Colombian ‘will not be easy’ for Spurs.

He also revealed that the Lilywhites have been working on a deal to sign Adama Traore ‘for a long time’ and that the club have identified Sofyan Amrabat as Tanguy Ndombele’s replacement, with the Frenchman now ‘close’ to joining PSG.

Romano also revealed that Steven Bergwijn could still leave Spurs before Monday’s deadline but stated Dutchman’s departure might depend on the offer that Ajax are willing to make.

If we get deals for Traore, Amrabat and Diaz over the line, it would be a cracking January window. However, should the deal for Diaz collapse over the next few days (which it well might), then it would end up being quite an underwhelming transfer window unless Paratici has a quality backup lined up for the Colombian.
