Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Tottenham board are now in contact with many different candidates for the vacant manager job.
The Spurs managerial hot seat has now been vacant for around two months ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked in late April just six days before a Carabao Cup Final.
Romano has reported that one new name has been added to the list of potential managers in Ernesto Valverde, but talks are not yet at an advanced stage.
He also added that former candidates such as Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag, who have always been appreciated by Spurs, remain on the list.
However, the Italian transfer expert was keen to point out that these appointments would be complicated for the North London club.
He finished his tweet by stating that the race for the Spurs job remains open.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I would love a Ralf Rangnick or Erik ten Hag after everything that has happened over the past couple of weeks. We just need to appoint someone who plays attractive and progressive football so we can actually start this rebuild.
