Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Alejo Veliz turned down an approach from an unnamed top European club as the striker has his heart set on a move to Tottenham.
It now seems to be only a matter of time before Veliz is announced as a Tottenham player, with multiple sources talking up the chances of the striker completing a switch to the North London club sooner rather than later.

This morning, TyC Sports reporter Cesar Luiz Merlo even asserted that Spurs have struck a full agreement with Rosaria Central for the transfer of the striker, with the Premier League side expected to pay an initial fee of $17m (£14.6m) plus a further $6m (£5m) in add-ons for the 19-year-old.
Tottenham saw off competition from top club
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Tottenham look set to beat out a top European club to Veliz’s signature as the striker wanted a move to N17.
The journalist added that the Argentine will sign a five-year contract with the Lilywhites but insisted that the plan is not to loan the youngster back out to Rosario.

I am surprised to hear that Tottenham do not plan on loaning the striker back out to his boyhood club.
That might suggest that Postecoglou feels that the 19-year-old is ready to challenge Richarlison for a place in the starting eleven. Conversely, Spurs might even be planning to loan out the teenager to a European side.
