Fabrizio Romano claims Spurs hope to get new manager in next 3 days

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham are still hopeful of appointing a new manager before the European Championships kick off on Friday.

After seemingly being snubbed by both Julian Nagelsmann and Brendan Rodgers, and failing in their efforts to bring Mauricio Pochettino back, it seemed last week as though Tottenham were set to appoint Antonio Conte.

However, with talks between Tottenham and Conte grinding to a halt, it now appears unclear as to what the North London club’s next step will be.

Romano revealed in an interview on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube Channel (starting at 14:13) that Spurs still hope to confirm a new appointment before the Euros.

However, the journalist added that the task could now prove complicated after the club ended talks with Conte.

Romano also added (at 12:11 in the interview) that Tottenham are now determined to keep their negotiations top-secret after the way their talks with Pochettino and Conte played out publicly.

He said that Spurs realise that the Conte situation was not received well by the fan base and are keen to ensure that there are no leaks regarding the talks they have planned over the coming days.
