Fabrizio Romano claims Spurs midfielder has ‘huge chances’ of leaving in January

Fabrizio Romano has revealed there are ‘huge chances’ for Tanguy Ndombele to leave Tottenham this month and added that Dele Alli could also be on his way out.

Ndombele has started just one Premier League game since Antonio Conte arrived at Spurs.

The Spurs boss seemed to suggest last month that the former Lyon man was having trouble understanding the requirements of his system and reports have claimed the Lilywhites are willing to cash in on the midfielder this month.

Sources even alleged last week that Tottenham tried to swap Ndombele for Franck Kessie, but AC Milan turned down the North Londoners’ approach.

Romano has now claimed that the Frenchman is likely to be on his way out of the club before the end of the month. The journalist added that Spurs could also cash in on Alli if they can find a suitable buyer for the England international.

When asked if the two midfielders could leave, Romano said on Last Word on Spurs’ YouTube Channel (starting at 20:33): “I think for Ndombele there are huge chances.

“Let’s see if they can find an opportunity because also during the summer they wanted to sell him but they were not able to find the right club.

“For Dele Alli, I am not 100 per cent sure yet that he is leaving but he has possibilities to leave.

“It’s not a priority. They are not desperate to sell Alli but it is a possibility of they find a good opportunity.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not convinced that Spurs would be able to find a buyer for Ndombele in January unless the midfielder agrees to take a pay cut to seal a move away. I can only see the Frenchman leaving on loan. We are much more likely to find buyers for Dele this month but Conte could decide to hang on to the 25-year-old until the summer.
