Fabrizio Romano claims Spurs star is ‘100 per cent’ staying put at the club

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are convinced that Harry Kane is going to remain at the club beyond the summer of 2021.

On current form, in our opinion it would be no exaggeration to say that Kane is the best player in the Premier League and up there with the best in the world.

The striker’s goal against Stoke City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday was his 16th of the season and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Additionally, the 27-year-old has reinvented himself as Tottenham’s creator-in-chief, playing a slightly deeper role than in previous years, which has allowed him to showcase his passing range and vision.

The England captain has already notched up an astonishing 13 assists in all competitions so far.

Pundits including Glenn Hoddle have suggested earlier this year that Kane may look to leave Tottenham at the end of the current season if the club fail to win any silverware (The Gary Newbon Sport Show).

However, Romano has said that Tottenham are confident that no club will be able to lure away their talisman next summer.

Speaking about Kane’s future, the Italian journalist said on the Here We Go Podcast: “He’s staying. He’s staying 100 percent – also next summer.

“They [Spurs] are convinced that the player is staying. He is part of the project. They’re so happy with Harry.”

Pundits always seem to oscillate between questioning if Kane is as good as he is billed up to be (most recently due to his injury record) and suggesting that he is too good for Spurs. In reality, no club is going to be in a position to meet the asking price that Levy is likely to demand for Kane and the England striker is certainly not someone who would force a move away. So, I am convinced that the 27-year-old is likely to spend the rest of his career at Spurs.
