Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a final decision over Bryan Gil’s proposed move to Valencia in the next few hours.
Gil has not started a single Premier League game for Tottenham since his move from Sevilla in the summer and is seemingly a long way down Antonio Conte’s pecking order (Transfermarkt).
Mundo Deportivo suggested on Wednesday that the youngster was desperate to return to Spain ‘at all costs’ as he is struggling to adapt to life in London but Gil quickly took to social media to question the claim.

However, the speculation linking the 20-year-old with a return to Spain has not gone away, with AS claiming on Thursday that Valencia remain keen on a deal for the 21-year-old.
The report suggested that the Spain international would welcome a temporary move to the Mestalla given his lack of game time at Spurs.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Valencia are expected to accelerate their talks with Tottenham today and that the North London club are expected to make a decision imminently on Gil’s future.
Valencia will be in direct talks with Tottenham today to complete Bryan Gil signing on straight loan. Spurs will make final decision in the coming hours. 🦇 #THFC
Valencia will also discuss with AS Roma over potential loan deal for Amad Diawara.

Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham’s willingness to let Gil leave would likely depend on whether or not they are able to complete their rumoured pursuit (The Athletic) of Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus. I cannot see Conte being open to letting the 20-year-old leave unless the club bring another winger in.
