Fabrizio Romano has become the latest journalist to confirm that Galatasaray have held discussions with Tottenham over a move for Tanguy Ndombele.
It was reported by some sources from Turkey last month that Galatasaray’s opening offer of £7m for Ndombele, was knocked back by Spurs (Ertan Suzgun) but it was subsequently suggested that the Istanbul side were expected to try again for the Tottenham man (Sabah).
Ndombele is yet to feature for Ange Posetecoglou during pre-season and The Daily Mirror asserted a couple of days ago that Tottenham are now finally prepared to cut their losses on the midfielder.
The publication stated that the North London club could sell the former Lyon man to Galatasaray in a deal worth around £11m.
Galatasaray’s enquiry for Tanguy Ndombele
Romano has now also confirmed that Galatasaray are indeed considering a move for Ndombele as the Turkish club’s attempts to sign Manchester United midfielder Fred have now ground to a halt.
However, the journalist did not indicate that a bid has arrived from Turkey for the Frenchman, suggesting that only initial contacts have been made to find out about the conditions of an operation.
Galatasaray are now considering Tanguy Ndombele as an option for the midfield. Discussions took place to be informed on conditions of the deal. 🟡🔴

I was always quite sceptical about whether Ndombele has the engine to cope with Postecoglou’s high-intensity approach. Based on the reports that are now doing the rounds, it appears as if the 26-year-old has not been able to convince the Australian in training.
