Rumoured Spurs target joins Serie A giant on five-year deal

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Mike Maignan from Lille on a contract until June 2026.

There has been plenty of speculation over Hugo Lloris’ future in North London over the last few months, with rumours suggesting that the Tottenham captain, who is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract could be on his way back to Ligue 1 this summer.

Maignan was rumoured to be one of the names on Tottenham’s radar as Lloris’ potential successor.

However, recent reports indicate that Lloris is set to sign a contract extension with Spurs after having productive conversations with Daniel Levy about his future.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are likely to be in the market for a goalkeeper during this summer’s transfer window with the club having released Paulo Gazzaniga yesterday.

If Lloris is remaining at the club, we have far bigger concerns in other areas of the pitch that need attention. A new right-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder and creative midfielder have to be the priority if we are to have any chance of breaking back into the top four.
