Fabrizio Romano confirms Spurs’ interest in player creating an assist every 116 minutes

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Pedro Neto is very likely to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Neto proved to be a thorn in Tottenham’s side on Saturday afternoon when the 23-year-old capitalised on a mistake from Yves Bissouma to pick up the ball in his own half and drove forward before cutting it back in the path for Gomes to score the winning goal.

Romano has claimed that the Portuguese is expected to leave Molineux at the end of the season and has been attracting interest from Tottenham, along with Liverpool and North London rivals Arsenal.

“I cannot mention the clubs yet but for sure the appreciation of clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham is clear since a long time.

Pedro Neto was appreciated by Liverpool some months ago, so let’s see now with a new director what’s going to happen but the three clubs for sure are showing interest in Pedro Neto in terms of scouting and we will see what happens in terms of negotiations in the next months.”

Neto is likely to be a highly sought-after transfer target this summer considering his performances on the wing for Wolves this season.

The Portugal international has been restricted to just 19 appearances this season across all competitions because of injury, which makes his assist tally truly remarkable, averaging an assist every 116 minutes (transfermarkt).

Neto would certainly fit into Ange Postecoglou‘s high energy, attacking style of football, however, it will come down to a potential bidding war.
