Fabrizio Romano explains how much Spurs would have to pay for Serie A star

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spezia want €15m-€20m (£12.9m-£17.2m) to sell Jakub Kiwior in 2023, following recent links to Tottenham Hotspur and many other clubs.

Tottenham were first linked with the 22-year-old earlier this month when Roma Giallorossa reported that the Lilywhites could challenge AS Roma for the centre-back. Kiwior then impressed for his native Poland in their opening game at the World Cup in Qatar.

Fichajes then claimed that Tottenham may look to replace Japhet Tanganga with the Polish defender in the January transfer market. The report claimed that Kiwior would cost only £5.1m, around a third of what Romano is now quoting.

It was also reported that Tottenham could face competition from Roma, Juventus, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and London rivals West Ham United.

Fabrizio Romano has now reiterated that Kiwior is attracting interest from ‘many clubs’ but Spezia hope to keep him until the end of the current season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This is a luxury signing rather than a quality one. Conte will want his ready-made players through the door before Tottenham spend money on up-and-coming future stars. The likes of Bastoni and Gvardiol are the centre-backs Spurs should be competing for.
