Fabrizio Romano has claimed that both Jules Kounde and Joachim Andersen are on Tottenham’s centre-back transfer list this summer.
Tottenham struggled in the heart of defence last season, with Jose Mourinho chopping and changing between underperforming recruits, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld.
Alasdair Gold from Football London reported earlier this year that Spurs may even move to sign two new central defenders this summer, although they will need to sell in order to raise funds.
Romano has now reported that Kounde is ‘highly appreciated’ by Tottenham and is expected to leave for below his €80m release clause. He also added that Lyon defender, Joachim Andersen, who impressed on loan at Fulham last season, is on Spurs’ list.
This comes after Gianluca Di Marzio also reported that Kounde has become Tottenham’s number one centre-back target this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Getting Kounde and Andersen in would be incredible. However, I don’t think Spurs have the cash to do so. I would expect Andersen to be signed and then one more if Davinson Sanchez or Eric Dier is sold. This second could be someone a little cheaper than Kounde, like Skriniar from Inter Milan.
