Amidst speculation linking Tottenham with moves for Raphinha and Pedro Neto, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Barcelona and Wolves stars have been on Spurs’ radar for quite a long time.
Over the last few weeks, plenty of Spanish outlets have credited Tottenham with an interest in Raphinha, who has fallen down the pecking order at Barca this season.
Relovo were the first to report about it at the start of this month, claiming that the Lilywhites had already reached out to the winger’s agent to discuss a potential switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer.
It has since been reported by other outlets over the last two weeks that Ange Postecoglou’s men could face competition from Chelsea for the former Leeds United star (Sport).
Meanwhile, Neto is another player who has been mooted as a summer target for Spurs, with the club alleged to be competing with another London rival, Arsenal, for the 23-year-old’s signature (The Sun).

Tottenham really like Pedro Neto and Raphinha
Romano has now confirmed that the Portuguese and the Brazilian stars are indeed quite highly thought of by those who work at Hotspur Way.
The journalist told CaughtOffside’s YouTube channel: “Raphinha is really appreciated by some people in the scouting department at Tottenham, he was on their list when he was at Leeds. If Barcelona decide to put Raphinha on the market, it could be an opportunity for Tottenham but not only them.
“It’s also true that Spurs appreciate Pedro Neto. There is nothing advanced, Tottenham have to take the time to decide who their main target will be, but these are two players who have been appreciated for a long time by the club.”

Tottenham’s interest in these two players suggests that Ange wants a left-footed winger who can play on the right, perhaps to compete with Kulusevski.
However, it is too early to speculate on who the North London club’s top targets would be as those decisions will likely not be made until April or May.
