Fabrizio Romano provides Barca update on Raphinha amidst Spurs and Arsenal links

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcelona need to act quickly if they wish to sign alleged Tottenham target Raphinha, with Premier League clubs ready to pounce on the winger.

Antonio Conte is thought to be intent on adding to his forward line this summer, with The Athletic reporting last week that Spurs were battling Arsenal and Barcelona for Raphinha’s signature.

The report explained that Fabio Paratici viewed the Leeds winger as a potential alternative to Everton forward Richarlison.

Sport subsequently claimed that it was Barcelona who were leading the race to snap up the Leeds winger, who was alleged to have informed the Elland Road hierarchy of his preference to move to Camp Nou.

The publication claimed that Jesse Marsch’s side are willing to accept a fee of around €50m (£42.6m) for the player’s sale and the La Liga giants are hoping to bring down the price further.

However, Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Leeds are not budging from their asking price of €55m (£47.3m) for Raphinha.

He added that despite Barcelona agreeing to personal terms with the winger, they are yet to launch an official offer for him.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect the way this transfer merry-go-round will end is with Barca winning the race for Raphinha, Arsenal signing Gabriel Jesus and Spurs snapping up Richarlison from Everton.
