Fabrizio Romano provides Harry Kane update – Bayern Munich are feeling tense

Fabrizio Romano has revealed on his YouTube channel (starting at 0:50) that Bayern Munich are tense due to the fact that Tottenham are yet to respond to their final offer for Harry Kane.

It was widely reported yesterday that Bayern had submitted an offer of €100m (£86.5m) to Tottenham for Kane, which is expected to be the Bundesliga side’s final offer (Sky Sports).

It was suggested by multiple sources that should Spurs not accept the offer by midnight on Friday, Bayern will turn their attention to other alternatives (Telegraph).

No answer from Spurs – Bayern are feeling tense

Romano too has now said that Bayern wanted a definitive decision from Tottenham by midnight but he revealed that the Premier League side have not yet responded to the latest offer.

As a result, Bayern are thought to be tense, and there is believed to be some disappointment at the Bavarian club as they were hoping to have the deal wrapped up by Friday.

However, Romano adds that the German club’s hierarchy still remain ‘optimistic’ and ‘confident’ that they would be able to get the deal over the line, and are hopeful that the transfer can reach a conclusion this weekend.

Spurs Web Opinion

The suggestion that Bayern had set Spurs a deadline for the deal to go through was ridiculous, to say the least, given that there is almost a month left in the transfer window.

Levy was certainly not going to be pressured into accepting any bid if he thought it fell short of what Kane is worth.
