Fabrizio Romano provides huge Kulusevski boost for Spurs vs Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Dejan Kulusevski will be called up to the Tottenham squad this weekend as the Lilywhites take on Liverpool in North London.

The Swedish international has been out injured since the last international break, leaving Conte with few options up front in recent weeks.

With Richarlison recovering from a calf problem picked up against Everton, Lucas Moura building up his fitness following an injury of his own, and Kulusevski unavailable until now, Harry Kane looked to be the only senior fully-fit forward option for Conte.

Heung-min Son also fractured his eye socket in a nasty collision of heads against Marseille in the Champions League this week, leaving him sidelined.

Romano did not reveal whether Kulusevski would be in contention for a start against Jurgen Klopp’s side, but even a return to the bench would be a welcome boost to Tottenham’s attacking depth.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I don’t expect Kulusevski to be rushed back into the starting XI unless he really is 100%. But it’s great to have him back. Perhaps Conte feels he can take more of a risk, with Sweden not going to the World Cup and there being a lengthy break over the winter.
