Fabrizio Romano provides interesting update on Conor Gallagher to Spurs rumours

Chelsea have still not made up their mind about what to do with Conor Gallagher, says Fabrizio Romano, as Tottenham continue to show interest in the England midfielder.

The Italian transfer expert claims all possibilities remain open for Gallagher and Chelsea, including a new contract, letting him enter the final year of his contract, and a potential sale.

Romano also adds that Tottenham’s interest in the Chelsea star ‘hasn’t gone anywhere’, although there have not been any bids from the Lilywhites as of yet. It appears we may have to wait some time before we find out where Gallagher’s future lies.

It was recently reported that Tottenham are continuing to show ‘concrete interest’ in Gallagher and Chelsea may be forced to sell players to meet the Premier League FFP rules (Football Insider). HITC added that Chelsea are now ready to sell Gallagher for that very same reason.

Spurs are still interested in Conor Gallagher

Fabrizio Romano said (Daily Briefing): “Chelsea haven’t decided what to do about Conor Gallagher and his contractual situation yet. It will take some time for the club to come to a decision but all possibilities remain open.

“Tottenham’s interest hasn’t gone anywhere though. It’s been there since last summer, but as of right now, I am not aware of any negotiations, including a contract offer or any bids. It will take some time but we will see what happens over the next few months.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Considering his contract length, I don’t think Daniel Levy would want to pay more than £40m for Conor Gallagher. The problem is, Chelsea are unlikely to give Spurs a competitive price so I fear this may almost be a non-starter of a transfer. You never know, the Blues might get desperate.
