Fabrizio Romano has provided a Pedro Porro update that will be music to the ears of Tottenham fans this evening, stating that Spurs have never considered the deal to be at risk of collapsing.
This comes after the Daily Mail speculated this morning that a deal between Sporting Lisbon and Tottenham could be ‘off’, while David Ornstein claimed there had been ‘no breakthrough’ in talks between the two clubs.
Romano reported this evening that Porro has been Tottenham’s priority since the start of January, and the plan is for him to say goodbye to the Sporting fans tonight. In fact, he is currently playing in the Portugal Cup Final against Porto.
Porro will then apparently travel to London tomorrow for his medical and the contracts will be signed within 24 hours. If Romano is correct, Tottenham fans will not have long to wait before Porro is seen holding up the Lilywhite shirt.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Getting this deal over the line would be huge for Tottenham. With Danjuma scoring on his debut, it rounds off a pretty perfect week. Then all eyes will be on deadline day to see if Spurs can do any last-minute business.
