Fabrizio Romano has reported that Pedro Porro is expected to sign the final paperwork and officially become a Tottenham Hotspur player at around 8 pm UK time.
This should, fingers crossed, bring an end to a rather eventful saga for the North London club this past week, as they finally get their man at right-wing-back.
Fabrizio Romano reported that a full agreement had been reached between Spurs and Sporting last weekend, with a medical scheduled for Monday, but reports then circled overnight that the deal could be in jeopardy (Record).
Sporting seemingly moved the goalposts after an agreement had been reached, insisting that Tottenham also pay a £2.6 million administration fee (The Times).
Fortunately, the talks were recovered and Spurs agreed to pay an increased fee plus 15% of their sell-on clause for Marcus Edwards (Daily Mail).
Record also reported that the deal would be an initial loan of €5million (£4.3million), with an obligation to buy clause worth €42.5million (£37.3million), as well as that 15% of Edwards’ sell-on fee.

Spurs Web Opinion:
Not long to go now! I know people wanted a big-name centre-back, but those are hard to get in January. As long as Spurs go big and secured two central defenders in the summer, I think the January business has been very effective, just as it was last season.
