Fabrizio Romano provides update on Bryan Gil transfer from Spurs to Valencia

Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Bryan Gil is simply waiting for the green light from Tottenham to fly to Spain and complete his loan move to Valencia.

The journalist has reported that the transfer will only be a simple loan, meaning Valencia do not have an option or obligation to purchase the 21-year-old winger. This seems to imply that Tottenham still see a future for the former Sevilla man.

Fabrizio Romano also reported today that Tottenham will only let Bryan Gil join Valencia once they have a replacement lined up.

Conte has made it clear in his press conferences of late that Spurs would have to sign replacements if any first-team squad member leaves between now and the end of the window (Fabrizio Romano).

Romano appears to claim it will not be a case of Spurs loaning Gil out and then looking for a reinforcement, but a case of only loaning Gil out once they have already found said reinforcement.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Gil and Tanganga will only go if and when Spurs find replacements Conte considers to be as good, if not better. As he has said many times, he wants two players for every single position, and the club will not leave him short.
