Fabrizio Romano provides update on Dejan Kulusevski’s Spurs future

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to make Dejan Kulusevski’s loan move permanent at the end of the season.

Kulusevski has been a revelation since joining Spurs from Juventus in January on an initial loan deal, with the Swede taking to the Premier League like a duck to water.

The 22-year-old has carried on from where he left off at the start of the 2022-23 campaign, having four contributions to his name in seven league appearances so far (Transfermarkt).

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport this week, Kulusevski spoke about how he has improved as a player since his January switch and admitted that he is delighted with the way things are going in North London.

The winger also spoke in glowing terms about Antonio Conte, insisting that he has never met someone who is as motivated as the Italian.

Romano has now taken to social media to state there is ‘no doubt’ that Tottenham will sign the former Juve man permanently this summer.

He explained that they would have an obligation to buy the player for €35m (£31.3m) if they finish in the top four, failing which the club will have an option to buy him for the same amount.

Getting a player of Kulusevski’s quality for £31m is an absolute steal, given the inflated fees that Premier League clubs are being quoted for attacking players these days.

Paratici deserves to be commended for the deal and there is no doubt that Juve will be kicking themselves, given how much the 22-year-old’s value has risen since January.
