Fabrizio Romano provides update on Destiny Udogie injury, and it’s not good news

We now know how long Destiny Udogie’s injury will keep him out of action for, and it seems the Tottenham Hotspur man will now miss Euro 2024, too.

News broke yesterday that Udogie‘s season was over, as the man himself posted a photo on social media from a hospital bed after undergoing surgery.

In the post, Udogie wrote: “An injury brings my season to an early end. It doesn’t take away from how grateful I am to every person that has supported me this year.”

It’s a real blow to Tottenham, and for the 21-year-old too, who has excelled in his first season in the Premier League. The Italian has scored two goals and registered three assists in 30 appearances for the Lilywhites (Transfermarkt).

Udogie’s form this term has also seen him make his breakthrough at international level, and he now has three caps to his name (Transfermarkt).

Destiny Udogie will miss Euro 2024 due to injury

Unfortunately, not only will Udogie miss the rest of this season, but his dreams of representing his country at Euro 2024 are now over, too.

That’s the latest from Fabrizio Romano, who tweeted: “Understand Destiny Udogie will also miss Euro 2024 with Italy due to injury. Tottenham expect Udogie to be out for around three months.”

With that timeline in mind, we can expect Udogie to be back in action at the end of July, just in time to get ready for the new Premier League season.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is heartbreaking for Udogie. He’s had such a good year with club and country, and he would be nailed on for Euro 2024 if it were not for this issue now. Hopefully, the surgery will be for the best in the long run, and we can see him back at his best for the new season.
