Reports over the last week has indicated that Nagelsmann has now become Tottenham’s top candidate to take over from Antonio Conte (Football Insider), with some sources even suggesting that the North London club have already contacted the German regarding the vacancy (Daily Mail).

Bild journalist Christian Falk revealed a few days ago that the 35-year-old would also be a contender for the Chelsea job if the Blues part ways with Graham Potter.

Romano has stated that despite all the stories linking Naglesmann with a move to Tottenham, he is not aware of ‘anything advanced for now’.

The journalist added that the recently departed Bayern boss is ‘really appreciated’ by some members of the Chelsea board.

He explained that the West London club are now having conversations internally about the future of Graham Potter, adding that the next few days could be crucial in determining the 47-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs Web Opinion

I wonder if the current turmoil at Spurs after Fabio Paratici decided to take a leave of absence, could perhaps give Chelsea an edge over us in the race for Nagelsmann.

However, I expect the German to wait until the summer and assess the various offers that come his way before making a decision on his future.
