Fabrizio Romano provides update on Spurs Fonseca announcement

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Paulo Fonseca is now set to finally sign his contract with Tottenham Hotspur to become the club’s new head coach.

Spurs have been without a boss at the helm for the past two months after Jose Mourinho was sacked in late April and Ryan Mason was handed temporary charge.

However, it now appears that Tottenham will replace Mourinho with the man who Mourinho replaced, strangely enough. The Special One is set to take charge of Roma next season, the job that Fonseca held until he was sacked earlier this year.

Romano has claimed that Tottenham are now planning the official announcement for Fonseca. He also added that Spurs have already been working with the Portuguese manager with regards to a transfer strategy this summer.

The club have already welcomed in Fabio Paratici from Juventus as their new managing director of sport, as we see somewhat of a shakeup in the structure at Tottenham.
