Fabrizio Romano provides update on Tottenham’s latest Pedro Porro offer

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are now set to make a fresh offer of €37m (£32.5m) plus add-ons for Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro.

It seemed like the negotiations between Sporting and Spurs for Porro had hit a deadlock until a couple of days ago but The Daily Mail provided a positive update on the matter on Monday night, claiming that the Portuguese club could relax their demands.

The publication stated that Sporting might be willing to accept £30m plus bonuses for the Spaniard, instead of his release clause of £40m. The report further added that Ruben Amorim’s men are weighing up an offer for Heerenveen full-back Milan van Ewijk as a replacement for the 23-year-old.

According to Romano’s latest update, Tottenham have now begun a fresh round of talks with Sporting for Porro.

The journalist reveals that the North London club are not only willing to offer €37m (£32.5m) plus add-ons for the right-back but are also willing to discuss including one of their players as a part of the deal.

I do wonder if Djed Spence is the player that Spurs are open to sending to Sporting (potentially on loan) as part of the deal to sign Pedro Porro. That will meant that Ruben Amorim’s side would not need to replace the Spaniard straight away and could wait until the summer to do so.
