Fabrizio Romano reports no talks to include PSG man in Ndombele loan deal

Fabrizio Romano has revealed there are currently no talks with Paris Saint-Germain to include Georginio Wijnaldum in a potential loan deal for Tanguy Ndombele.

Tottenham are said to be in talks to send Ndombele to the Ligue 1 side until the end of the season having fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte (The Guardian).

A potential deal would see the midfielder reunited with current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, who originally signed him for Spurs for a £54 million fee in 2019.

The Daily Mail recently revealed that PSG could use former Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum as a makeweight heading the other way to get a deal over the line.

The Netherlands international has struggled to make the grade at the Parc des Princes since securing a free transfer last summer, with a return to the Premier League rumoured to be on the cards.

However, transfer guru Romano has since suggested that, as of now, there are no talks between Spurs and PSG regarding a swap for Wijnaldum.

This is a case of two midfielders struggling to make an impact at their respective clubs. That could mean they might be included in a deal going forward to accelerate negotiations, but ultimately there comes a question as to whether someone of Wijnaldum’s profile would fit Conte’s system.
