Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Norwegian starlet Antonio Nusa ahead of the January transfer window.
Nusa won several admirers after breaking into Club Brugge’s starting eleven last season and the winger has started this season in impressive fashion, with four-goal contributions in nine matches in the Belgian top flight.
In fact, 90 min reported in September that the teenager was being tracked by three Premier League clubs – Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United. The report added that the likes of Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon and Monaco were also keeping tabs on the youngster’s development.
The outlet added that Chelsea had failed with a £25.7m bid for the attacker in the summer as the player turned down the chance to move to Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham and Chelsea both like Antonio Nusa
Romano has now revealed that Tottenham have become the latest club to enter the race for Nusa’s signature, having sent the scouts to run the rule over the Club Brugge sensation.
The journalist told Kick: “Tottenham are one of many clubs scouting Antonio Nusa. He’s a very special talent. Tottenham sent their scouts, Chelsea sent their scouts, and many clubs are following him. But, at the moment, still no substantial update.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Just because Spurs have scouted Nusa does not mean that a move for the youngster is imminent. The Lilywhites are likely tracking a number of players across the continent ahead of January.
