The decision-makers at Tottenham Hotspur are delighted with the progress they have seen from Callum Olusesi who made his mark against Liverpool.
With Spurs being ravaged by injuries at the moment, Tudor decided to turn to a couple of the club’s academy youngsters at Anfield on Sunday.
Two of Tottenham’s teenage starlets, Callum Olusesi and James Rowswell, were both handed their Premier League debuts against Liverpool.
The pair, who came on as substitutes, made an impact on the game as Spurs secured a point through a late equaliser from Richarlison.

Tottenham are delighted with Callum Olusesi’s development
Olusesi posted some outstanding numbers against Liverpool, looking extremely tidy on the ball, completing all eight of his attempted passes and not being dispossessed once.
The centre midfielder, who has been impressing in the UEFA Youth League this term, is thought to have delighted officials at Tottenham with the way he has developed this season.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reveals that Spurs even rejected several proposals in January for Olusesi, with Torino pushing until deadline day for the teenager.
Romano wrote on X: “Tottenham are more than happy with Callum Olusesi’s development, as he made his PL debut last night at Anfield in a key game under pressure. Spurs rejected several proposals last January for Olusesi, including Torino very keen until Deadline Day. THFC see Callum as one for the future.”
Olusesi will be keen to make his mark after ‘dream’ Spurs debut
The 19-year-old is on the radar of scouts around Europe, with reports indicating in January that Tottenham rejected offers from Eredivisie clubs and Bundesliga sides for Olusesi.
The youngster admitted it was a ‘dream come true’ to make his Spurs debut against Liverpool, and that it was a special feeling to be on the pitch when Richarlison netted the equaliser.
Olusesi will be hoping that he gets a few more opportunities over the coming weeks, and some Tottenham fans may even be hoping to see the academy midfielder start against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
