Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is attracting interest from Olympique Lyonnais, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist claims that the French outfit are considering the Argentine international as a potential replacement for Bruno Guimarães, who is expected to join Newcastle United before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham would expect Lyon to cover Lo Celso’s wages for the remainder of the season, together with paying a loan fee.
The 25-year-old was axed from Antonio Conte’s Spurs squad for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Chelsea, despite the player taking to Instagram to insist he was fully fit.
Lo Celso, 25, was signed from Real Betis for £27.2million (BBC Sport) two years ago after a loan spell and has made just two Premier League starts this season (transfermarkt).

A move to Lyon would be a good fit for Lo Celso, who has struggled to make an impact at Tottenham apart from a brief period at the start of last year.
