Fabrizio Romano reveals European giant could make approach for in-form Spurs midfielder

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Tanguy Ndombele on the back of the midfielder’s improved run of form recently.

Ndombele has had a disappointing first season in North London and his relationship Jose Mourinho seemed to have completely collapsed towards the end of last campaign.

The midfielder was linked with a move away from Tottenham just a season after the club smashed their transfer record to sign him from Lyon.

Barcelona were mentioned as one of the potential suitors (Independent) for the midfielder during the summer while Inter Milan were also touted as a possible destination (Corriere dello Sport).

The midfielder ended up staying put at the club and has managed to completely turn around his fortunes at the start of this season.

He has now become one of the first names on Mourinho’s teamsheet and seems to have resolved his disagreements with the Tottenham boss.

Romano insisted in his most recent episode of the Here We Go podcast that Tottenham might have a battle on their hands to keep Ndombele at the club next summer, with Barca potentially set to make an offer for him.

However, the journalist revealed that Spurs fans do not have to worry about the French international in January as he will not leave the club before the end of the season.
