Fabrizio Romano reveals Fabio Paratici has offered a three-year deal to managerial candidate

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur are discussing a three-year contract as part of a deal for Paulo Fonseca to become the club’s new head coach.

Romano has claimed that both parties are confident that a deal can be reached with Tottenham’s yet to be confirmed sporting director Fabio Paratici having penned a contract until 2024, which would be the same as what Fonseca has been offered.

Paratici is said to be the man who is conducting the talks with Fonseca and holds the 48-year-old in high regard.

Spurs have struggled to find a replacement for Jose Mourinho and now appear to have turned to the man who he succeeded in Rome after having been linked with the likes of Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag.

The Italian outfit announced at the beginning of May that Fonseca was set to leave the club at the end of campaign, just a matter of hours before their Europa League semi-final second-leg against Manchester United.
