Fabrizio Romano reveals factor that could determine Spurs’ chances of getting Conte

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that appointing Fabio Paratici as Director of Football could prove crucial to Tottenham’s chances of getting a deal for Antonio Conte over the line.

Some reports from Italy have indicated that Paratici, who has agreed to part ways with Juventus, has already verbally agreed with Daniel Levy to join Spurs.

However, Romano has now said in an interview on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube Channel that the former Juve director is yet to announce his decision but will do so within the next few days.

Romano revealed that Levy has pursued Paratici for a long time and is now hopeful of finally bringing the Italian to the club.

The journalist explains that Conte and Paratici do not just have a good working relationship but are close friends. They are said to have similar ideas about football and are keen to work together again.

Romano adds that it is very important for Conte to work with someone he trusts and Paratici’s appointment could thus prove crucial in convincing the former Chelsea boss to join Spurs.
