Fabrizio Romano reveals how Spurs feel about Bayern interest in Harry Kane

Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffside that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘relaxed’ about Harry Kane’s future despite Bayern Munich’s interest in the striker.

Bayern have made overtures towards Kane over recent months, with the club’s CEO Oliver Kahn (Christian Falk) and head coach Julian Nagelsmann (90 min) expressing their admiration for the England captain.

Bild (27/07/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness) reported back in July that the Bundesliga giants had conveyed their interest to the striker’s entourage.

Christian Falk claimed a couple of days ago that Bayern are plotting a move for the Tottenham man next summer and are hopeful that he will not sign a contract with the North London club.

Romano has now backed up Falk’s claim, stating that the Nagelsmann’s side are expected to be in the market for a striker next summer and that Kane is one of the options on their radar.

However, he asserted that Bayern have not held any talks over a deal for the 29-year-old so far and that Spurs are relaxed about the situation despite the their talisman having less than two years left on his contract.

The speculation linking Kane with a move to Bayern is not going to die down until the striker puts pen to paper regarding a new contract.

Spurs would have likely already reached out to the striker’s entourage to explore the possibility of a new deal and one would expect negotiations to accelerate before the World Cup.
