Fabrizio Romano reveals if Dele Alli is likely to leave Tottenham this month

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Dele Alli’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain, admitting that the Spurs midfielder is keen to join the French giants.

There has been plenty of speculation linking Alli with a move to PSG over the last few months and that speculation has only intensified with Mauricio Pochettino taking over at the club.

It was under Pochettino that Alli played his best football for Spurs and it has been suggested that the Argentine wants to reunite with the midfielder in Paris.

However, some reports have claimed that Tottenham are determined to hold on to the 24-year-old and want to see him compete for his place in the starting line up.

Romano has now revealed that the England international does not share that intention as he is keen to leave Spurs to get regular first team football.

However, he also added that a deal will not be easy to pull off as the North Londoners are not yet been convinced to let the midfielder leave on loan and to reach a deal before the end of the month could be complicated.

Given the issues we have had recently in creating chances and our lack of efficiency in the final third, it would not be the wisest of decisions to let Alli go before the end of the month. Even if the midfielder is unlikely to get games, I suspect the club and potentially Mourinho would like to keep him as a fallback option in case things continue to go downhill over the next few weeks.
