Fabrizio Romano reveals Juventus are interested in Spurs-linked attacker – No talks from N17

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have not held any talks with Memphis Depay’s entourage regarding a summer transfer, but he is a potential target for Juventus.

Sport reported last week that Tottenham had stepped up their pursuit of Depay and even claimed the Lilywhites had already presented an offer to the player’s representatives.

AS subsequently revealed that Xavi Hernandez has informed the Netherlands international that he will not get any game time at Camp Nou this season if he chooses to stay at the club after the Catalan giants’ acquisition of Lewndaowski and Raphinha.

Journalist Gerard Romero (as relayed by Fichajes) even suggested this week that Barca are considering offering the 28-year-old to Spurs in a straight swap deal for Sergio Reguilon.

However, Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that despite the speculation, Antonio Conte’s men have not made any concrete efforts to sign Depay this summer.

The journalist added that the former Manchester United man is on Juventus’ radar.

It is quite telling that most of the speculation linking Depay with a move to Tottenham has come from Spanish outlets.

None of the journalists with reliable sources inside Spurs have suggested that the Dutchman is a target for the north London club.

As things stand, it appears like if Tottenham do make another attacking addition this summer, it is likely to be Zaniolo.
