Fabrizio Romano reveals Juventus stance on Spurs-linked Weston McKennie

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are currently not in negotiations with Juventus for midfielder Weston McKennie.

With just a week left until the transfer window slams shut, it looks as though there could still be some wholesale changes in the central midfielder department at Tottenham, with Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele being linked with moves away from the club.

Fabio Paratici is rumoured to be keen on snapping up McKennie, with reports suggesting over the weekend that the Italian was looking to swap the USA international for Ndombele.

Some sources have subsequently stated that Juve and Spurs are considering swapping McKennie and Sissoko.

Romano has put an end to that speculation, revealing neither Tottenham nor Juventus are interested in such an exchange.

The journalist also revealed that while the Old Lady are willing to sell the former Schalke midfielder, they would only do so if they receive a straight cash offer of around more than €25m- €30m (£21.3m-£25.6m).

Spurs Web Opinion

The only business I Spurs doing as far as the midfield department is concerned is replacing Sissoko with Pape Sarr. I do not think we would be able to shift Ndombele, which would likely stop us from bringing in the likes of McKennie or Nahitan Nandez.
