Giovani Lo Celso’s impending loan move to Villarreal will not include an option to make the deal permanent, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer expert took to Twitter to reveal the fact that Tottenham Hotspur can also in January terminate the loan should a club want to take the midfielder on a permanent basis.
Gio Lo Celso to Villarreal, done deal and here we go! Full agreement with Tottenham, Lo Celso will join on loan and NO buy option included 🚨🟡 #Villarreal
Been told Spurs can interrupt loan in January in case they’ve a bid for permanent move. Of course, always up to the player. pic.twitter.com/07lIFZF2hS

The information was also reinforced by Alasdair Gold who reported a similar theme, describing it as a ‘break clause’ if a bid is made in the winter window and Lo Celso agrees to the move.
The 26-year-old has been deemed as surplus to requirements at Tottenham and is set to undergo a medical with the La Liga side (Evening Standard).
Lo Celso spent the second half of last season on loan at the Yellow Submarine, where he helped the club to reach the semi-final of the Champions League under former Arsenal boss Unai Emery.
The Argentine has been training separately away from the rest of Conte’s first-team since pre-season.

Getting Lo Celso’s wages off the books and away from the club is the best outcome for both parties considering he has no future in north London.
Spurs will be hoping that he can catch the eye during the first half of the season and attract some bids to help claw back some of the £55million they spent to sign him from Real Betis.
