Fabrizio Romano reveals player has completed medical with Tottenham

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Clement Lenglet has successfully passed a medical ahead of sealing a loan move to Tottenham.

Lenglet looks set to be Tottenham’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, with Sport reporting on Thursday that the North London club are keen to complete the formalities quickly so that the Frenchman could fly with the Spurs squad to South Korea.

However, The Evening Standard reported today that Antonio Conte’s men still face a nervous wait to find out if the centre-back can travel to Korea with his new teammates on Saturday as the club are unsure if the 27-year-old will get his visa in time.

The report revealed that Lenglet was undergoing his medical at Hotspur Way today after staying overnight at the Spurs lodge on Thursday.

Romano has now revealed that the Barcelona defender has completed his medical, and it is only a matter of time before Tottenham officially confirm his arrival.

The fact that the Lenglet deal now appears to be sealed would hopefully mean that Spurs can put all their resources into finding a quick resolution for the Djed Spence deal. At this point, it seems extremely unlikely that the right-back is going to travel to South Korea for pre-season.
