Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Watford over the possible departure of Moussa Sissoko, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist took to Twitter to claim that an agreement is ‘possible’ for the French international to move to Vicarage Road before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Sissoko would join former Spurs team-mate Danny Rose in making the switch to the Premier League newcomers after the left-back sealed a move on a free transfer ahead of the new season following the expiration of his contract in North London.
The midfielder has not featured in any of Tottenham’s four competitive fixtures this season with the club said to be keen to offload the 32-year-old, who earns £80,000-a-week (The Sun).
The Hornets are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to maintain his side’s unbeaten top flight start.

A move to Watford would suit Spurs perfectly and would free up Sissoko’s significant wages. Sissoko has a limited ability to be able to influence a match, despite there being no questions about his athleticism.
