Fabrizio Romano has revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Ivan Perisic is expected to begin talks with Inter Milan over a new deal over the coming weeks.
Perisic’s current contract with Inter runs out at the end of the season (Trasfermarkt) and it was reported at the start of December that Tottenham had opened talks with the winger (Sport1).
Inter Live then claimed that Spurs were facing competition from Wolfsburg for the 33-year-old’s signature, with the player alleged to be keen on reuniting with Antonio Conte in North London.
It was suggested at the time that there was a lot of distance between the Croat’s salary demands and what Inter were willing to pay (TuttoMercatoWeb).
However, if Romano’s latest update is to be believed, Perisic’s situation at the San Siro has changed in light of his improved performances over recent months.
The journalist revealed that many clubs approached the experienced wide man in January but the player will have a meeting with the Nerrazuri over extending his deal.

Spurs Web Opinion
The speculation linking Perisic with a move to Tottenham has probably come about due to the Conte connection but I do not see Spurs signing the Croat even if he is available for free this summer. Paratici will likely be targeting players of a younger profile as part of the rebuild.
