Fabrizio Romano reveals Spurs are currently in contract talks with first team duo

Fabrizio Romano has revealed in the latest episode of the Here We Go Podcast (as confirmed by Football.London) that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Son Heung-min and Hugo Lloris over extending their stay in North London.

Tottenham’s negotiations with Son over a new deal as been well documented, with multiple publications over the last month revealing that the North Londoners want to reward the South Korean for his improved run of form by bringing his salary in line with the club’s highest earners, Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele (Telegraph and The Athletic).

Jose Mourinho has also confirmed that the club are in talks with the 28-year-old over a new deal and hinted that he expects Son to commit his future to Spurs since all parties want him to stay (Daily Mail).

The news regarding Lloris has received much less attention, with the Frenchman’s current deal running out in 2022.

Lloris has been in impressive form since returning from an elbow injury back in January of this year and it looks like he has done enough to convince Mourinho and the club that he has a few years left in the tank at the top level.
