Fabrizio Romano reveals Spurs have agreed to sign player on 18-month loan

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham have now signed a deal to sign Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus.

The transfer expert also revealed the deal would be an 18-month loan with a buy clause that could become mandatory under certain conditions.

The Italian journalist reported earlier today that Kulusevski would be flying to London to complete his Tottenham move today, with the Lilywhites paying around €40m (£33.2m), including a loan fee and buy clause.

He claimed the clause would become an obligation if Tottenham achieve Champions League qualification or if the Swedish winger completes a certain number of appearances.

Multiple sources reported this week (The Telegraph and The Daily Mail) that Spurs moved towards Kulusevski after missing out on Luis Diaz to Liverpool.

Romano also added that the paperwork for Spurs to sign Rodrigo Bentancur would come soon.

Spurs Web Opinion:

An 18-month loan deal is fantastic because it pushes the final payment down the road, hopefully beyond COVID times. Therefore, Tottenham will be able to maintain whatever budget they had for the summer. A great signing and a great piece of business.
