Fabrizio Romano reveals Spurs progress in Heung-min Son contract talks

Fabrizio Romano has revealed in an interview on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube Channel that Tottenham are confident that Son Heung-min will sign a new contract.

It was reported at the start of the year that the South Korean was close to signing a new deal but the club are yet to make any official announcement more than five months later.

With Harry Kane’s future at the club looking in doubt, some pundits have suggested that Son could also be thinking about jumping ship from Tottenham this summer.

However, Romano has eased Spurs fans’ fears about the 28-year-old’s future, confidently asserting that he is set to stay. The journalist revealed that Tottenham have made plenty of progress in the talks with Son’s representatives over a new contract.

Regarding Kane, Romano revealed that while the England captain would like to join a club that are in the Champions League, Spurs continue to maintain that the striker is not for sale this summer.
